What you should bear in mind when going to the sauna:

  • Showering
Please shower thoroughly and dry off thoroughly before going to the sauna, this stimulates blood circulation and sweating.
  • In the sauna cabin
If you have little sauna experience, start by choosing a themed sauna in a lower temperature range, e.g. the warm air bath or the herbal sauna.

Take a seat on one of the lower benches, the higher up you sit, the hotter the air feels. Sit on the sauna towel, your feet should also be on the towel. The rule is: no skin on the wood.

Follow your body's instinctsLying (head slightly raised) or sitting relaxed, only stay in the sauna as long as you feel comfortable.
  • Infusion
During the infusion, the sauna master pours water onto the hot sauna stones and the water evaporates. This increases the humidity and the perceived temperature in the sauna.
There are various waving techniques and infusion ceremonies - the highlight of the sauna session for sauna fans.
  • Cooling down
The cooling phase of the body after the sauna session is crucial for a health-promoting effect. Walk or sit in the fresh air for approx. 10 to 15 minutes or cool down with a cold hose down or a cold body shower.
Tip: A warm foot bath after the infusion also prevents the body from sweating.
  • Rest break
We recommend a rest period of at least 15 to 20 minutes between each sauna session. Enjoy this time in one of our relaxation rooms, in the fireplace room or, in summer, on our roof terraces or in the sauna garden.
  • Our recommendation
Up to three sauna sessions promote health and well-being. During this phase, you can also choose a themed sauna with a higher temperature.
  • Drink, drink, drink
Drink plenty of fluids and minerals after the sauna to keep your body hydrated. It is best to drink mineral water and diluted fruit juices. You are also welcome to use our free drinking fountain in the mixed sauna or treat yourself to a delicious break in the sauna bistro.
